The very thing the Trump campaign accuses Hillary Clinton of doing, it does repeatedly without shame or remorse. Just since last night we have seen three lies and in each case they denied the lie, and then deflected. The plagiarism of Michele Obama's speech, the denial of Trump paying attention to the other speakers when he was on the phone with Fox News, and rebuttal of comments made about Gov. Kasich.
This is far from the first time this has happened in the Trump campaign, not once has he been apologetic or stated that he misspoke. Instead Trump and his campaign have been obviously tasked with creating a denial and then to immediately deflect or blame someone else. I don't know about you, but this used to get someone in very big trouble during grade school. "I didn't do it, it was Johnny!" As is the case in grade school this pattern eventually catching up to you. The teachers no longer believe you, your classmates disdain you and you are labeled a liar and a cheat. In Trump's case, many of the party leaders have already shunned little Donald, the press no longer believes him and fact checks everything he says and his core case that "Hillary is the liar" is dwindling, as it becomes apparent that he is in fact the "big fat liar" in the room.
Will this be a hallmark of his potential Presidency? Will there be cover up after cover up? This is definitely a pattern that must be analyzed and considered.
At the very least Hillary stands up and has apologized for the times she has misspoken or what I would call borderline lied. That in and of itself demonstrates a stronger character than Trump is displaying. For this reason among others, such as bullying other kids on the playground, especially those that are disadvantaged I am going against my party affiliation and voting for Hillary this year.
