President Bush's approval rating has dropped to 28 percent in a Newsweek poll released this weekend, the lowest of any president in a generation.
Bush's low is now tied with Jimmy Carter during the Iran hostage crisis. Only two modern presidents have fared worse -- Richard Nixon, at 23 percent, and Harry Truman, bogged down in the Korean War, at 22 percent.

Nope, thanks for showing it to me. I find it really amazing that someone could have had such a high approval rating only to squander it to almost all time lows. I guess it proves he really doesn't care what other people think.

28% is low, of course. But given the unprecedented deceit, corruption and incompetence of this war- and fear-mongering administration, doesn't it seem outrageously high at the same time?
I wish one of these approval-rating polls would also ask their respondents where they get most of their news from... If twenty-something percent say they're regular Fox News consumers, I'll rest my skepticism.

Agreed, there are still a few hanger ons. Those are the ones that label the dems as defeatist. I would have to imagine there is one huge freakin scandal out there that will rock us as a nation to the bone.
